Introduction to Prenatal Yoga

Practice Update

Introduction to Prenatal Yoga

Posted on 03/06/2021

New complimentary class!

This is an information session taught by our prenatal yoga teacher, Portia, about the safe practice and benefits of yoga in pregnancy. The class will take place fortnightly. Ask at reception for upcoming dates.

The class will teach you the fundamental breathing techniques used in prenatal yoga. We will look at how to isolate and engage key muscles groups, as well as, how to do your pelvic floor exercises effectively (tips and tricks to maintain a healthy pelvic floor throughout your pregnancy), and how to safely modify and adjust yoga for pregnancy.

This is an informative session that we highly recommend to anyone that is planning on practicing yoga for the first time in pregnancy. It is also a pre-requisite to attend this class in person before attending any online zoom yoga classes, to ensure that you have all the tools you need to practice safely from the comfort of your own home.
